Nothing lasts forever, it just lives in the heart @ 11:31 PM

I grew fond with this song after listening to it every time on Music Bank. (: Nice song, sounds sad... well, I haven't read the lyrics yet though.

Watched this twice already. I knew that I'm going to love this movie, but I never knew I would love it so much. I guess, I didn't waste my time anticipating for it, great movie. To me, it kinda' reminds me of "Forrest Gump" a bit. Well, at least I do learn something from it too.

"My name is Benjamin Button, and I was born under unusual circumstances. While everyone else was agin', I was gettin' younger... all alone."

Believe it or not, that voice when this sentence were told, kept repeating in my ears. Seriously, this movie gave me goosebumps the first time I watched it. The disease he had does not exist, it's true there's no disease that could make a person aged backwards. But there is a disease where a baby was born old. It's called Progeria. Usually the baby doesn't live long. On the other hand, Benjamin lives his whole life, becoming younger until he dies in a baby-physical state. I think the main point about this movie wasn't the disease itself. In my opinion, it's more like showing people the importance of appreciating the life we had, loving ourselves, who we were born to be and also, we can never escape death. When I was explaining to my mom about the movie, something caught my mind. Instead of going through life like a normal person; born to be healthy when we were babies, having an easy life during our young age, enjoying it while we still can, and as we grew older, life gets even harder. We felt the difficulties of being an adult, having responsibilities of our own, handling things ourselves and most of us wished we could go back to our younger times. As life goes on, we became old, suffering and fighting with tons of diseases, not only our mentality were challenged, even our physical state has become a burden to other people and ourselves. At the end, we die either in an easy way or in a painful way.
In Benjamin's case, it's different. Everything was backwards. The suffering, the pain that we were supposed to go through at the end of our lives, he had to go through it as soon as he was born into this world. He grew up with the mentality of a small boy yet he had to face those physical sufferings that old people had to go through. It might look like a beneficial thing for him since he would grow younger at the end and he doesn't have to suffer when he dies, but it's not that easy for him too. To be different from other people in this world is always the hardest task that is given to any human being in this world. Some people couldn't accept him, including his own father. And as he dies, he dies alone. Instead of suffering physically, he suffered mentally. Reminded me of one conversation he had with an old woman.

Benjamin: I'm getting younger.
Mrs Maple: I feel sorry for you. You have to watch the people you love die before you.
Benjamin: All this time, I never thought about life and death...
Mrs Maple: We were meant to lose people we love. How else would we know how important they are?

To me, having the people I love die before me is my biggest fear. If I were Benjamin, I don't know how I could handle that. And Mrs Maple was right about most people would only realise the importance of the people they love when they lose them. Sad right? There's another sad part when Benjamin couldn't play with the girl who's the same age with him just because it doesn't look nice at all since he looks a lot older than her. Yet, inside his heart, he's still a child. It's really sad when he said, "What's wrong with me momma?" and starts to cry. :'( He's still a small boy. When a disable child were treated differently and he/she could feel it, it's really sad when they ask things like why they are different or what's wrong with them. That's why, no matter how different a child is, they are still children that wants to be treated the same like other children.
There's also a man that has been struck by lightning for 7 times. It's funny how he mentioned it a lot of times, but I believed there's actually a message to be told when this old man were shown. There was one time Benjamin came back home and said, "It's a funny thing about comin' home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You'll realize what's changed is you." The old man actually represents the situation where he's still the same person when Benjamin came back and everything was the same, it's just that Benjamin himself has changed. Other than that, the last time the old man said the same sentence, he said, "Blinded in one eye; can't hardly hear. I get twitches and shakes out of nowhere; always losing my line of thought. But you know what? God keeps reminding me I'm lucky to be alive." (: And he's right. He was struck by lightning for 7 times, and though he had to suffer a bit, God reminded him that he's lucky to be alive. How bout you? Do you feel lucky to be alive? Or do you want to try out getting struck by lightning for 7 times too? Think about it.

Nah, joking. ;D It's for his latest drama, "Paradise Meadow". Cute huh? Lee Yeon Hee is sweet. Can't wait to watch the drama.
That's all for now. Gonna go job-hunting with Hani tomorrow. Oh, my sister, WeeN got her job already! :D Congrats to her! Besides that, Ashwin just started college today! Best of luck for him in college and my sister on her job. Yah~ next would be me and my up-coming future. Wonder what is God's plan for me. O_o;
